Key responsibilities:
* Oversee and process licensing applications, including those under the Licensing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005.
* Conduct inspections, gather evidence, and prepare prosecution papers and witness statements as part of the enforcement process.
* Represent the council at resident and business forums and provide expert guidance on licensing matters.
* Prepare detailed reports for committee hearings and attend hearings and court proceedings when required.
* Effectively manage a complex caseload and prioritize competing demands to ensure deadlines are met.
* Collaborate with other team members and provide guidance to junior staff when required.
