About the role As a Business Development Executive at Texthelp, you will be at the forefront of expanding our reach across single schools and small Multi-Academy Trusts in England. Your mission will be to drive growth by owning your pipeline, and advancing opportunities through to successful closure. Supported by targeted lead-generation campaigns, in-person events, and cross-selling opportunities, youll have the tools and resources to achieve your goals. This role requires a data-driven approach to inform your decisions and shape effective strategies. In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, youll demonstrate agility, persistence, and a talent for negotiation to close deals that directly contribute to Texthelps continued expansion and success. Main Responsibilities Identify and close direct sales opportunities Pipeline creation, management and accurate forecasting Proactive lead generation, conduct sales calls, webinars and sales visits Prepare proposals, follow up and close sales Work closely with the SDR team to maximise lead generation Attend events and exhibitions to promote Texthelp and actively network Pro-active contribution to team meetings Awareness of competitive landscape and the ability to position Texthelps products effectively Maintain accurate and timely records within the CRM system Meeting and exceeding personal and company targets Essential Criteria 1 year of relevant sales experience, preferably with the Edtech Sector Knowledge of operating in a SaaS business environment Experience in presentation and interpersonal skills in person, online and by telephone Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Sugar CRM Willing to travel extensively and often throughout the UK Desirable Criteria Experience with social media platforms in a B2B environment e.g. LinkedIN Be familiar with the current state of the education market and the latest trends in edtech Passion for education and a commitment to making a difference Experience and understanding of accessibility challenges and/or SEND Experience and understanding of exams and Access Arrangements in the UK Experience with a range of Texthelp tools
