We are seeking a manager to oversee the daily operational needs for the children’s home, ensuring high-quality care provisions meet the required standards under OFSTED and children’s home regulations. You will be working closely with relevant departments to ensure high standards of support are delivered using a multi-agency approach.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the challenges that the role involves but also understands the rewards that come along with it.
You will also require:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing an OFSTED home.
* Hold a level 5 in leadership for health and social care or equivalent in children and young people services.
* Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Children Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000) and regulatory frameworks such as OFSTED and Reg. 44 visits.
* Strong leadership skills with a capacity to inspire and motivate others.
Responsibilities will also include but are not limited to:
* Supervise and manage a team of care staff to deliver exceptional care services.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs and manage any documentation relating to the child’s progress, incidents, and safeguarding concerns/referrals.
* Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with regulations.
* Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
* Maintain a safe and supportive environment for each child.
* Manage administrative tasks related to the children’s home operations.
* Proficiency in managing staff and overseeing day-to-day operations.
* Conduct regular audits in compliance with regulatory standards and identify any areas for improvement.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
