Manufacturing EngineerGloucester8am-5pm Monday – FridayCompetitive salary + benefitsMy client are a manufacturer and distributor of specialised fluid technology solutions, particularly pump systems. The business serves a range of clients, including mechanical and electrical contractors, civil engineers, and utilities, both domestically and internationally. They are on the look-out for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their business on a full-time permanent basis where you will be responsible for optimising and enhancing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production operations.Key Responsibilities as a Manufacturing Engineer:
* Identify and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing techniques.
* Provide hands-on technical support to resolve manufacturing issues.
* Develop strategies to reduce waste and improve productivity and cost-efficiency.
* Collaborate with the Quality team to maintain and enhance standards and metrics.
* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by working with Design teams from concept through to production.
* Specify, design, and implement tools and equipment that improve efficiency and safety.
Knowledge and skills as a Manufacturing Engineer:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
* Proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks; experience with PDM and ERP systems.
