Longstanding manufacturing SME based in Sheffield have a requirement for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team as a result of continued success and expansion.
It’s a chance for you to really add value to a forward-thinking business and provide real-time, accurate monthly management accounts / MI to senior management.
You will be the sole finance contact, acting as a financial sounding board to senior management and taking responsibility for keeping the day-to-day financial management and reporting / controls in place and streamlined.
This is a role for someone who excels within a dynamic SME setting and understands the need for a hands-on Bookkeeper.
You will be responsible for:
1. VAT returns
2. Assisting with year-end reporting
3. Balance sheet reconciliations
4. Accurate monthly reporting (cashflow, budgeting, forecasting)
You will need:
1. Demonstrable experience within a similar role in an SME environment
2. To be comfortable in an autonomous role with self-motivation and strong time management skills
3. To have a proactive approach to workload, with the ability to streamline and continuously improve processes and controls where necessary
