Student Communications Assistant for Admissions (Summer) - $9.50/hour
This position provides support to the Enrollment Technology and Communication team with specific assistance directed to the communications-related functions and research overseen by the Associate Director of Enrollment Technology and Communication.

Work Schedule: The Enrollment Technology and Communication Suite is open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Hours should be worked within that timeframe, the full details can be discussed/worked out to meet other work, duties, etc.
Major Preferred: Communications, English, Marketing
Experience Required: Must have general computer knowledge including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience Preferred:
1. Experience proofreading and/or writing copy for communications
2. Familiarity with some kind of customer relationship management or other data system used for managing contact with customers or clients
3. Creating and posting content for social media platforms
4. Knowledge of HTML is a plus, but not necessary
Skills, Characteristics Required for Position:
1. Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills
2. Demonstrate creativity
3. Ability to work the majority of hours independently, but within guidance provided by supervisor
4. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently on a variety of projects and likes to transition between creative and detailed, administrative work.

6. Students filling this position must exercise extreme confidentiality, as this position will have access admissions student records and data.

Primary Duties:
1. Partner with the Associate Director of Enrollment Technology and Communication and team supporting social media on developing content specific to prospective Messiah University students on platforms such as ZeeMee and class-specific Instagram accounts. This includes, but is not limited to participating in (and hosting) live events on social and representing Messiah in videos created by the social media team.
2. Serve as a primary student influencer on ZeeMee by answering questions from prospective Messiah students, creating and sharing videos of student life, interviewing fellow students and community members for social media content and providing information to help students see themselves at Messiah.
3. Build email/text communication templates in the Slate CRM and under the direction of the Enrollment Technology and Communication team.
4. Write copy and/or provide student-centered feedback on email communications to prospective students.
5. Audit student records in the Slate CRM to provide student-centered feedback about the frequency and content of communications sent to prospective students as part of ongoing research and assessment projects.
6. Provide support to environmental scans and competitor research as it relates to communications and admissions webpages.
7. Support the Director of Enrollment Technology and Communication on special projects as assigned and related to functions of the Enrollment Technology and Communication Office.
8. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
