ROLE DESCRIPTION We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Senior Project Manager (Agile) to join our team on a permanent basis. The individual will provide direct support to the Programme Manager, Programme Lead and Leadership team to successfully deliver an Agile development programme to a high-profile public sector customer. The successful applicant will have a good project and technical background and will understand the challenges of successfully delivering against project, technical and commercial requirements. This position is a full time, permanent role and applicants must have (or be able to acquire) SC clearance. Ad-hoc travel may be required to various customer and Leidos sites. THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY You will report to the Programme Lead/Programme Manager and will be responsible for leading a cross functional team to deliver against programme commitments. Your Role and Responsibilities: Manage Agile projects of varying complexity, timescales and value (£1m to £10m) in support of the overall programme delivery Guide and coach the team and organisation to follow Agile/Scrum practices Guide and coach the team to become self-organised Guide and coach the Product Owner on Agile/Scrum practices Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors Track performance against plan, identify and execute plans to mitigate blockers Identify and manage Risks, Issues and Opportunities Communicate status to programme leadership, escalating as needed Manage key stakeholders to align expectations PROFILE Required Skills: Able to demonstrate experience in Agile Project Management Knowledge of Agile approaches – Kanban, Scrum etc. Knowledge and experience with Agile and DevOps techniques – Automated Testing, User Stories, Continuous Integration etc. Good interpersonal skills and judgement for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders to develop strong working relations to support achieving objectives Able to engage effectively within a multi-functional programme team comprising customer, Leidos staff, partners and suppliers Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of business, finance and personnel management techniques Able to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively at all levels Ability to motivate and develop staff Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Desirable Experience: Data and Analytics knowledge would be advantageous Reporting and Dashboarding knowledge would be advantageous Experience of ITIL/Service Management methodologies Certified to APM, Prince 2, Agile Prince 2 or Certified Scrum Master What we do for you: At Leidos we are PASSIONATE about customer success, UNITED as a team and INSPIRED to make a difference.
