Job overview
The SET CAMHS Crisis and Therapeutic Home Treatment team assess and intervene with young people in mental health crisis, working within the Thrive model to promote positive outcomes. Opportunities exist for joint working, development, and training. All new starters receive full induction, shadowing, and departmental learning opportunities. Main duties of the job
As a senior team member, you will oversee clinical practice locally and contribute to service development across Essex, Southend, and Thurrock. You will work closely with senior clinicians and managers, support therapeutic outcomes, develop resources, and provide clinical supervision.
This role primarily focuses on community intervention and support, requiring a qualified and experienced clinician with a strong background in managing clinical risk, providing intensive community-based support, and brief interventions for young people in crisis.
Qualification Criteria
This role is suitable for mental health nurses and social workers with relevant postgraduate training (e.g., Systemic Practitioner, DBT, CBT, Non-Medical Prescribing) and registration (e.g., NMC, HCPC). Applications from fully registered psychological practitioners (e.g., clinical psychologists, family therapists, child and adolescent psychotherapists) with high-risk client experience are also welcome.
