The role of Passenger Assistant is to supervise children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities on board home-to-school transport in the Liverpool City region.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assisting passengers into and out of the vehicle at home and at the destination, ensuring they are seated comfortably and securely before setting off (this may involve the use of specialist safety equipment such as wheelchair clamps or postural support harness).
2. Conducting a vehicle check at the end of each journey to ensure that all pupils have left the vehicle and no belongings have been left on board.
3. Providing a safe, comfortable, stress-free journey to the destination, positively impacting the wellbeing of passengers and creating a positive environment in the vehicle.

Must be available to work during school term times. 2 shifts per day, i.e., to escort children at 7/8 am and 2.30 pm. Self Employed £12 ph. Approx. 15 hrs per week.
