Job Title: Reservations Group Sales & Events Executive
Employment: Full time (40 hours)
Reports To: Reservation Manager
Relevant Experience: 3 years
Job Scope
To ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times. To complete all relevant procedures in relation to the respective department as laid down by the company. Provides the desired work culture around our company values.
Working within the Reservations Team, this position has responsibility for handling and managing bookings from the contract stage to event itself, working to assist with, at a minimum, delivery of budgeted revenues. The Reservations Agent must demonstrate high levels and provide consistently high levels of customer service.

Key Job Responsibilities
Revenue:
* Using the tools provided and in compliance with the hotel brand standards, maintains, updates and shares information in the areas of a master calendar of external events, competitor rate intelligence, RevPar penetrations (RGI), arrival and spending patterns or commercial accounts and meeting room space allocation
* Understand the composition of hotel profitability and uses this to evaluate business from local accounts and groups so as to provide input to future rate setting and negotiation
* Monitor competitor pricing for all revenue generating departments, understands the dynamic of the local market and the demand generators and recommends appropriate actions in relation to the hotels pricing and market mix strategy
* Train and support hotel teams on revenue systems functionality and enhancements
* Provides technical support to Reservations and Front Office teams on up-selling and negotiating techniques
* To have a sound understanding of the department’s financial requirements at all times
* Complete and generate reports upon request from the Cluster Revenue Manager, as and when required
* Conduct weekly rate/sell strategy reports for meetings upon request
* Manage the use of revenue systems on a daily basis. This includes having an understanding and knowledge of the yield hurdle points and daily inventory balancing where appropriate
* Ensure compliance is maintained with the Lowest Rate Guarantee and managing third party distributors in compliance with Marriott standards and rules
People:
* Participate in hotel promotional activities
* Ensure that you and all team members have a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest and special events and where further information can be obtained
Guest Experience:
* To handle all telephone and written enquiries as to availability for potential meeting or function space by Marriott standards
* To develop interactive customer relations and to be aware of any possible future requirements. To relay such information to your line manager for the enhancement of customer expectation
Responsible Business:
* Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events
* Establish and maintain strict security procedures within your department, reporting any potential risks to your line manager
* To liaise with the Sales department with regards to all new business brought in to the diary as well as potential new leads for the Sales/Account Manager to follow up
* Ensure the Company’s high standards of guest care are upheld at all times
* Complete administration tasks set as and when required
