This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual eager to make a meaningful impact in a laboratory environment About the Role: As a Laboratory Assistant, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our recently refurbished process control laboratory. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the surveillance and conditioning of process solutions, ensuring we meet the high standards set by our esteemed customer base and Aircraft Manufacturers. You will work with a variety of cutting-edge analytical instrumentation, including: Classical and automated titration systems UV-Vis Spectrophotometer Thermal Digestion System XRF Corrosion Resistant Chamber (Salt Spray) Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Senior Laboratory Manager, your duties will include: Assisting with the collection and sampling of plating and anodising treatment solutions. Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment. Managing solutions for replacement and waste. Sampling and analysing plating and anodising chemicals. Troubleshooting and maintaining analytical instruments, including calibration. Upholding excellent housekeeping standards within the laboratory. Data management and meticulous recording. Ensuring environmental responsibility in all activities. Adhering to company health and safety procedures. Who You Are: We're looking for someone who embodies the following qualities: Excellent communication skills. A strong willingness to learn and grow. Good housekeeping and organisational skills. An effective team player with a positive attitude. Inquisitive, with a knack for problem-solving. Computer literate (Word and Excel). Holds a minimum of GCSE qualifications in English, Maths, and Chemistry. Desirable Experience: Relevant experience in a laboratory setting. Experience in an Aerospace Environment (AS9100 and NADCAP approved).
