A leading industrial services company in Lanarkshire is seeking a proactive and skilled Business Development Manager to drive its sales strategy. This pivotal role involves leading key initiatives, managing resources, and delivering impactful campaigns to promote the company’s services and achieve business growth. Responsibilities Lead and manage the sales function, ensuring alignment with the company’s Business Plan and revenue targets. Drive new business development and manage existing accounts to maximise sales opportunities and long-term relationships. Develop and implement sales strategies, setting clear objectives, and targets. Identify and pursue new market opportunities, leveraging industry trends and competitor insights. Assist the marketing function by providing sales insights and feedback to support campaign effectiveness. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination of sales efforts. Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management. Oversee key account management and high-value bids to drive revenue growth. Maintain CRM systems to track sales performance, pipeline activity, and customer interactions. Ensure excellent customer service, managing feedback and resolving client concerns efficiently. Experience and Skills Proven experience in sales within the industrial services industry. Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate teams and resources effectively. Proficiency in CRM systems and other sales tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building relationships. Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and a track record of achieving targets. Knowledge of market research and competitor analysis techniques. Analytical mindset to assess KPIs and create actionable strategies. Ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver high performance.
