This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. The post is fixed term until the 31st of August 2026.
Bachelor's degree in biomedical, biological, or life sciences subject
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work well within a team
Keen attention to detail
Experience in in vitro research and/or systematic review methodology would be an advantage
The CAMARADES research group comprises world-leading preclinical meta-research scientists who aim to bring evidence to translational medicine. We welcome applications to join our team as a research assistant. The role will mainly involve supporting a project to develop guidance, infrastructure and tools to conduct robust systematic reviews of in vitro research, as well as other ongoing projects within the CAMARADES team. The CAMARADES group has a strong data-science skillset and develop tools to extract relevant information from biomedical publications programmatically (e.g., machine learning classifiers). The post-holder will also help to develop training sets for these tools and will have the opportunity, if desired, to develop their skills and knowledge of programming in R.
