Mechanical Contracts Manager – National MEP Contractor – Co Antrim Your new company A National Mechanical and Electrical Contractor based in Co. Antrim with a reputation for delivering quality projects for a wide client base both locally and throughout the UK. Established over 50 years, this company is recruiting a Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee the management of several concurrent medium-large contracts based in London. Your new role The role will involve ensuring management and administration of the works are completed to the programme deadline and to a high standard, ensuring a satisfied client and an acceptable profit margin for the company. Key Responsibilities: Estimating Assistance: Read drawings, extract equipment for costing. Health & Safety: Inductions, daily briefs, toolbox talks, RAMS, H&S plan monitoring. Procurement: Monitor stock, assist with procurement, oversee deliveries and hire goods. Subcontractors: Liaise, coordinate works, troubleshoot. Programme: Monitor progress, report to main contractor/client. Quality: Check sheets, inspect installations, ensure standards. Meetings: Attend and provide input for progress meetings. Testing: Conduct/sign off tests, oversee other site testing. Commissioning: Oversee specialists, prevent delays. O&M: Production information for the manual & timely mark-up of ‘as installed drawings’, preparation of the building logbook & operations guide. Communication: Good communication with Divisional Manager and Main Contractor, escalate issues. Relationships: Build/maintain with project team from client/end user, resolve conflicts/issues. Management: Oversee site personnel, share lessons learnt, flag issues. Design Team: Liaise with design team, answer queries. What you'll need to succeed Minimum 2 years’ experience in Mechanical Contract Management Mechanical Trades Qualification Solid technical knowledge of HVAC Mechanical systems Excellent Communication / Negotiation Skills Team Player/Proactive Approach Ability to work extended hours / weekends, as required Flexible for weekly travel to London for 2–3 days What you'll get in return This is a permanent role with an industry leading M&E Construction Specialist who has steadily built an unrivalled reputation for quality.
