We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Coordinator to support our clients in-house Legal and Credit team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in coordinating workloads, drafting and checking legal documents and ensuring the smooth progression of cases through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Hold daily meetings with the Legal & Credit team to prioritise tasks, track progress and ensure loans are funded and completed on time.
2. Review legal documents to make sure they meet standards.
3. Oversee pre-completion checks and track Land Registry registrations.
4. Understand case details to manage priorities and deadlines, ensuring smooth case progress.
5. Prepare Completion Deduction Statements.
6. Train internal and external staff on legal documents and help improve processes.
7. Use the CRM system to create documents, track case progress and communicate updates.
8. Act as a liaison for solicitors and underwriters to speed up completions.
9. Provide case updates and follow up on documents.
10. Send post-completion letters to borrowers and guarantors after loan completion and assignment.
11. Attend feedback meetings to suggest improvements and ensure quality in daily operations.
Key Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience in a legal coordinator, legal secretary or paralegal role, ideally within a conveyancing or property-focused environment.
2. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in legal documents and compliance with regulations.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, solicitors and other stakeholders.
4. Ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and work under pressure to meet completion requirements.
5. Expert user of Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
6. Experience using CRM systems for document generation and case management is advantageous.
