Your new role
The Quality Technician will be required to ensure that appropriate systems and checks are in place to ensureponents, sub-assemblies and other manufactured or processed itemsply with customer requirements. You will establish inspection and / or test requirements from the production card / quality plan / drawing / specification or Quality Engineer for items manufactured / processed in house and sub-contracted / purchased items. Verify if itemsply with customers’ requirements by reference to appropriate documentation and use of appropriate measuring / test equipment and visual techniques. Raise DAR’s (internal) and CAR’s (supplier) against non-conformances identified and ensure that all non-conformances are reported with the minimum of delay in order to reduce potential scrap / rework. Ensure incidents / discrepancies receive adequate corrective and preventative actions and conduct required inspection / test and indicate approval by means of inspection stamp.Hours:
Mon - Thurs 8am - 16:30 and Fri until 1pm
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have an NVQ L3 or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline and 2 years 2 year’s work experience in a manufacturing role. OR 4 years’ experience in a QA inspection role. Candidates from aerospace particularly suitable but it is not essential.
