Part-Time Support Worker
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide one-on-one support in our client’s home, helping them live as independently as possible. This role follows a three-week rota:
* Week 1: 2 x 11-hour shifts
* Week 2: 2 x 11-hour shifts
* Week 3: 3 x 11-hour shifts
Weekend availability and flexibility to cover sickness or holidays is required.
Meet Our Client
Our client is a lovely, determined young woman who sustained a traumatic brain injury in a road traffic accident. As a result, she has limited use of her left arm and some weakness in her left leg. While she primarily uses a wheelchair, she can walk short distances. She lives independently in a specially adapted bungalow and enjoys a range of activities, including going to the gym, horse-riding, cooking and visiting family & socialising.
You will support her with personal care, mobility, medication administration, and daily living tasks, while also helping her enjoy her hobbies and interests to the fullest.
Training & Support
We provide comprehensive, paid training (to CQC standards) before your start date, covering:
* Full induction
* Safeguarding Adults
* Health & Safety / First Aid / Food Hygiene
* Moving & Handling
* Personal Care / Medication Administration
* Brain Injury Awareness
All training must be completed prior to start date and is paid at £12.21 per hour.
What We’re Looking For
* Driver with a full, clean UK licence (You will need to drive the client’s vehicle)
* Previous care experience & understanding of brain injury
