We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic nurse to work as an audit nurse within paediatrics. You will join a well-established governance team who will support you in this new role. Your main role will be to support clinicians in the facilitation of a wide range of clinical audit activity and Quality Improvement Projects.
The post holder will support a wide range of work from mandatory national audits to locally identified audits. Support for compliance with national guidance (NICE guidance) will also be part of this role. The post holder will have responsibility for supporting audit. As an audit nurse, you will have a good awareness of the concepts of clinical audit and effectiveness and of the general quality governance agenda within the NHS.
You will have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing and will need to be able to analyse and clearly present complex data. You will be expected to work closely with clinicians and staff across the Trust and should have a flexible, team player approach to your work.
Main duties of the job
In this new role you will support paediatrics clinical audit forward plan to meet national and local priorities and assist in monitoring key aspects of the plan. You will work as part of the governance team to maintain accurate records of clinical audit activity and of resulting action plans, in order to effectively manage re-audit and closure of audits.
