Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Vascular department based at Gloucester Royal Hospital. This job offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic multi-disciplinary team in a interesting and varied role, working closely with Administrative teams, Consultants, Matrons and the General Management team. The successful applicant will manage the departmental rota to include covering the on call and ward teams, coordinating theatre and outpatient sessions, adapting clinicians timetables to meet service needs, examining admin/clerical systems and processes to continuously improve services and put forward proposals for organisational re-structuring to maximise services by providing appropriate staffing levels. Main duties of the job This role is to support the medical secretarial team and support the General Manager and Deputy General Manager to deliver Trust Objectives such as waiting list initiatives and clinic utilisation. Experience in working in the NHS environment is essential in this role to hit the ground running in this exciting role helping support the operational delivery and success of the departments within the Trust.
