Ixworth High School is a small, friendly secondary school located in the Suffolk village of Ixworth, it is around 10 minutes from the A14, 15 minutes from Bury St Edmunds, and 30 minutes from Ipswich. We have been oversubscribed in recent years and are a popular school.

We believe that success in any subject is down to a strong curriculum and consistent high-quality delivery in the classroom through a thorough knowledge of learning theory. We have a wide-ranging enrichment offer and deliver the full national curriculum in KS3 and a wide range of GCSEs in KS4. We are looking for someone with a passion for computer science and a clear understanding of how students learn best.
The role
We are seeking to appoint an inspiring Head of Computer Science and Technology with a commitment to supporting our students to ‘be the best they can be’. First and foremost, you will be an excellent computer science teacher and have an unwavering passion for your subject. You will have a clear focus and understanding of what makes high quality teaching and learning and provide excellent outcomes for students. You will have the ability to teach computer science at both KS3 and KS4, experience of delivering GCSE Computer Science is essential.
