Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager for a high-profile factory redevelopment project in Swindon. The role involves managing a range of construction activities, including dismantling and demolition, groundworks, installing a floating steel floor, concrete infill, and overseeing the installation of Stelcon tiles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring the project runs smoothly and on schedule.
2. Supervising subcontractors (up to three on-site at a time) and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
3. Coordinating tasks related to both groundworks and internal fit-out.
4. Communicating progress updates to stakeholders and maintaining site records.
5. Ensuring compliance with strict operational and environmental standards.
Candidate Requirements:
1. CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid.
2. Proven experience as a Site Manager in construction, with a background in construction, groundworks and internal fit-out.
3. Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
4. A professional approach to health and safety compliance.
5. Local to Swindon or surrounding areas to align with carbon monitoring policies.
6. Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
