The Data Management practice within the Insights and Data business unit of Capgemini is a global practice involved in a broad range of business and IT-focused topics, including Information Strategy, Governance, Master Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Migration, and Lifecycle Management. We help our clients build enterprise-class data platforms to advance their big data and insights journey. Working primarily with leading software vendors like SAP, Informatica, IBM, Oracle, etc., our team are consultants who prioritize client requirements and industry best practices.
Hybrid working: Your work location will vary based on your role, needs, and business requirements; it will be a blend of company offices, client sites, and your home, noting that you will not be able to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role
As an ETL Specialist, your primary focus will be the technical delivery of migration and integration projects. You will work closely with project and client teams to understand requirements, analyze data architectures, propose solutions, and collaborate with experts to deliver results. We seek candidates with knowledge of modern ETL tools compatible with Big Data and Cloud environments, and scripting experience across multiple technologies. You will work within Data Management, Data Warehousing, Big Data, and Analytics practices, engaging in complex client projects across various sectors. You will have opportunities to grow and assume responsibilities from day one in a challenging, meritocratic environment.

What you’ll do:
* Advise clients on building and running effective Data Migration/Integration programs using industry best practices.
* Analyze Source and Target systems.
* Assess Data Quality and recommend improvements.
* Develop solutions using Ab Initio and cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Design Ab Initio platforms on Cloud.
* Modify and migrate Ab Initio graphs to Kubernetes containers.
* Coordinate with offshore and nearshore teams for project delivery.
* Design Ab Initio orchestration for real-time graphs with restart and logging capabilities.
* Enhance ETL frameworks and processes.
* Understand program requirements and collaborate with clients to craft solutions.
* Plan and supervise project activities.
Your Skills and Experience
Experience with Ab Initio, including Co>OP, GDE, express>It, Metadata hub, and Authorization Gateway software. Good understanding of Ab Initio concepts like checkpoints, parallelism, and dynamic layouts. Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform offerings for designing cloud-based Ab Initio platforms. Experience in extracting data from various sources such as databases, XML, flat files, Excel, queues, and topics. Proficiency in SQL queries, functions, and procedures across Big Data platforms, Oracle, SQL Server, ERP solutions, and cloud providers. Useful experience with tools like Informatica, Talend, DataStage, or similar.
Your Security Clearance
Obtaining Security Check (SC) clearance is required, which involves residency in the UK for the last 5 years and other criteria. The process includes questions about your eligibility, residency, and nationality. Some roles may be restricted to UK nationals for security reasons.
