Job Title: Permanent Care Home Manager / Registered Manager
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Care Home Manager / Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home in Colchester. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of care are provided to our residents, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and lead a team of care professionals with compassion and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the care home
2. Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and other relevant legislation
3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve quality of care
4. Lead, motivate, and support a team of care staff
5. Manage budgets and financial records
6. Oversee care plans and ensure they are tailored to individual resident needs
7. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders
8. Conduct regular staff training and development sessions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Care Home Manager / Registered Manager
2. Excellent knowledge of CQC standards and regulations
3. Strong leadership and management skills
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
5. Financial acumen and experience in budget management
6. Ability to develop and implement effective care plans
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations
8. NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
