Teacher Active is proud to be working with Stoke-on-Trent City Council to support vulnerable children with SEMH needs, which vary from challenging behaviour, bipolar disorder/mood swings to MLD.
As a SEMH Teacher/Instructor/Tutor, you will be working in a residential setting with students that have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). You will plan, prepare, and deliver material to the students and provide support in their GCSEs.
As a tutor, you will regularly create reports and monitor the students' learning and behaviour on a weekly basis.
The right SEMH Teacher/Instructor/Tutor will have the following:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and 6 months previous SEND/SEMH experience
* Flexible and able to cover classes last minute for staff sickness or training
* Capable of planning your own lesson activities and resources
* Adapting tasks to meet the needs of individual children
* Effective behaviour management skills
* Effective communication with internal staff
