Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) is committed to developing the next generation of engineering professionals.
We are offering a unique opportunity for talented individuals to join our team as an Engineering Degree Apprentice. This five-year scheme will provide you with the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in electrical and mechanical engineering, while working towards a BEng Electromechanical Engineering degree.
The salary for this role is £25,760, which is competitive with industry standards. Additionally, you will benefit from access to specialist training, funding for professional qualifications, and a circa 28.97% employer pension contribution.
As part of our team, you will work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, customers, and suppliers to deliver the very best equipment to the front line. You will be involved in a range of activities, including designing, developing, and testing new equipment, as well as resolving technical engineering problems and planning for the future of MoD equipment.
Your place of work will initially be our Training provider, followed by MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol. You will be required to attend the office regularly, at the request of your Scheme Manager or Placement Supervisor. This attendance will be at your own expense and costs for travel or accommodation will not be reimbursed.
