Assistant Finance ManagerBarnsley, South Yorkshire Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a business in the Barnsley area as they look to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager into their team on a full time, permanent basis.Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily operations of the transactional finance team, ensuring each team member understands their responsibilities and meets key performance targets
* Supervise the accuracy and reliability of sales ledger, purchase ledger, and payroll data across all financial systems
* Serve as the main point of contact between the finance team and other departments, fostering strong communication and collaborative relationships
* Regularly evaluate finance systems and workflows, recommending and implementing improvements to boost efficiency and data accuracy
* Ensure smooth operation of IT systems within the finance team, promptly addressing any technical issues
* Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, including key metrics and account reconciliations, for review by senior leadership
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for sales, cost, and payroll management, maintaining accurate records and controls
