The AHP Director position provides professional leadership and facilitates partnership working across community and acute services spanning acute and community health and care, mental health and primary care. The successful candidate will be able to evidence excellent communication skills and a commitment to working with communities to achieve the best outcomes for our population.
You would be responsible for developing and enabling the delivery of the overall clinical vision, strategy, clinical quality and clinical governance by providing professional leadership in relation to redesign of the delivery of services and Board Objectives.
You would be working within a new senior leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of financial, operational, quality and safety targets and for leading, managing and developing the community services workforce across NHS Highland.
This role requires you to be a visible and credible leader in providing support for AHP leaders and wider professional leads and professional colleagues across North Highland.
You will be a qualified AHP and appropriately registered with evidence of relevant post registration development with experience of working in health settings.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
