Learning and Development Lead - 6 Month FTC - Up to £65,000
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Learning and Development Specialist to drive key initiatives and shape the future of our client's learning and development (L&D) function. Our client is a leading professional membership body within the engineering sphere. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead impactful projects, modernise delivery methods, and establish best-in-class practices while contributing to the success of a high-performing team.
What You’ll Do
1. Documenting and Optimising Processes
1. Conduct interviews with current staff to document all existing L&D processes.
2. Create detailed process maps, identify inefficiencies, and propose streamlined workflows.
3. Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure clarity and continuity.
2. Developing an Interim Education Strategy
1. Design a 6-12 month interim education strategy that aligns with organisational goals.
2. Review the current course catalogue and learning platforms to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
3. Gather feedback from stakeholders and propose innovative solutions that address emerging needs.
3. Modernising L&D Delivery
1. Transition L&D operations from traditional methods to a blended, modern learning experience.
2. Research and recommend best practices in eLearning, online delivery, and potential AI-driven solutions.
3. Assess current digital platforms and present recommendations for enhancements, including a transition plan for new technology adoption.
4. Overseeing Daily L&D Operations
1. Ensure seamless day-to-day operations, including managing training schedules, updating materials, and supporting team resources.
2. Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and alignment.
3. Monitor ongoing programs and implement solutions to address any operational challenges.
