We’re on the lookout for a Senior Frontend Developer to step into a Tech Lead role, driving excellence and setting the standard for frontend innovation in our team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone with technical expertise who’s passionate about mentoring and enjoys taking ownership of frontend architecture. What you'll do
* Create High-Quality Web Applications: Bring client-side applications to life, translating visual designs into top-tier, user-centered experiences. You’ll build new features and enhance performance across devices, collaborating closely in an agile workflow with cross-functional teams.
* Lead Frontend Technology and Best Practices: Define and uphold frontend standards, managing our technology stack and guiding the team to adhere to performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
* Consult and Collaborate: Work alongside UX and backend teams to validate technical feasibility, improve experiences, and ensure all solutions meet project requirements and client expectations.
* Drive Innovation and Efficiency: Architect reusable code, libraries, and tools, proactively improving workflows and setting up processes that boost team productivity and maintainability.
* Mentor and Develop: Lead by example, supporting team members through mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and helping to onboard new developers.
What we're looking for from you
* Primary Tech Stack: Expertise in NextJS as a base React framework, TypeScript, Chakra UI, TailwindCSS, Zustand/MobX, and CSS-in-JS solutions like Emotion or Styled Components.
* Workflow Management and Testing: Proficient in Husky, Prettier, ESLint, Vitest/Jest, and React Testing Library.
* Desirable Knowledge: Familiarity with React Native, Shopify (Liquid, Hydrogen, Oxygen), JavaScript ES6, Twig, JQuery, SCSS, and PHTML is a plus.
* Soft Skills: Strong communication, a problem-solving mindset, commercial awareness, and the ability to lead in a collaborative team environment
Location:
Hybrid, with 2 days per week in the Leeds office
