This Field Engineer will report to Lead Field Engineer and will work within Network Operations based in our Crawley / Brighton area. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £51,245 - £76,229 per annum and a bonus of 3%.

Job Purpose:
To work as part of a team within the Crawley and Brighton Network Operations area. This includes liaison with customers, network operations and control, networks planning, management of field staff, and management of contractors.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Ensure safety management throughout all responsibilities.
2. Responsibility for delivery of all maintenance, construction, and fault works to time, cost, and quality.
3. Ensure staff comply with all procedures and work to a high standard of quality.
4. Daily planning, coordination, and real-time responsibility for the efficient utilization of resources.
5. Communicate with HV/LV control – submission of HV/LV switching log, complete HV/LV network operations in accordance with distribution safety rules and policies and procedures.
6. Ensure that the Asset Database – SAP, is updated with completed work as needed by the system.
7. Support and provide technical support to field staff.
8. Manage and resolve any contract issues, with the support of Contract Management.
9. Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the safe delivery of project work.
10. Complete quality assurance checks of works completed and rectify any quality issues identified.
11. Communicate with and manage relationships with our customers to meet their expectations wherever possible.
12. Be prepared to assist other sections e.g. organizational changes, system emergencies as determined by your experience.
13. Complete out of hours safety/emergency response (Standby) as required.
Nature and Scope:
You will be an important contributor to the team managing the delivery of all Maintenance, Capital Programme, Connections, and Faults work within a geographical area. Together with the scheduling team, Work Planner, Field Staff Supervisor, and Field Staff, you will deliver an excellent service to the customer, ensuring we meet the requirements of our Guaranteed Service Standards.
Qualifications:
1. £61,723 = 11k SAP (with ONC)
2. £76,229 = 33kv SAP (with HNC)
3. Current valid driving license
4. ONC Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
5. NRSWA (City & Guilds) Supervisors certificate
6. IOSH Managing Safely certificate
7. Familiarity with MS Excel spreadsheets

Health & Safety Responsibilities:
