Hours: 37.5hrs Work pattern: 5 days per week including weekends, bank holidays and evenings Duration: Permanent West Midland Safari Park currently has a permanent vacancy available for a keeper on the elephant section, but also with duties being carried out on other sections within the Safari Drive. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team. The position involves husbandry tasks, such as feeding, cleaning, health monitoring, and enclosure maintenance delivered to a high standard. The role requires someone who is confident, motivated, and enthusiastic about wildlife conservation and has excellent communication skills. The successful applicant will require good knowledge of wildlife and have an animal-related qualification, DMZAA or relevant experience working in an elephant team. Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous experience in a zoological collection or other suitable animal experience, although full training will be given. It is a physically demanding but very rewarding role. Due to driving company vehicles, we are looking for applicants who have a full, valid driver’s license. Weekend, bank holiday working and some evening work will be required during special events throughout the year. Flexibility in working hours is essential to this role.
