We are recruiting for an Accountant/Finance Manager to join this long established organisation in Hemel Hempstead. The company is flexible in that they will consider someone either full or part time. This is an office-based role and no hybrid options are available currently.
The role encompasses a full spectrum of financial administration and you will be a key member of the team working closely with the senior management.
Day to day duties include:
1. Undertake all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of Management accounts.
2. Ensure all invoices are raised on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and sent to customers accurately.
3. Ensure all supplier invoices are paid in line with terms.
4. Credit control on all invoices raised, ensuring all money owed is received in line or before terms agreed.
5. Ensure proper and accurate bookkeeping on all purchase and sales invoices utilising the Sage 50 software system.
6. Produce management accounts for both companies which will be prepared and presented monthly to the directors.
7. Complete and submit VAT returns to HMRC for both companies.
8. Ensure payroll, staff pensions, and PAYE is processed and in line with HMRC requirements, and all reports submitted in line with mandatory requirements.
You will have relevant accounting qualifications or experience in order to apply. You will enjoy a busy workload and be hands-on.
In return, the company offers a salary of £40,000 - £43,000 per annum.
