Female PA support young girl with Non-ketotic hyperglycinemia in LS10 - flexible hours - LEEDS - LS10
Pay rate: £11.44 (gross) an hour at all times,
Term time: 4 hours per week (2 hours weekdays on an evening after 4pm and 2 hours on a weekend)
School Holidays: 6 hours per week (2 hours couple of days weekdays and 2 hours on a weekend). Please apply via UKCIL if you are interested in the job role.
We are seeking a suitable female PA who can support our daughter aged 8 who has a diagnosis of Non-ketotic hyperglycinemia. She requires support with all personal care needs and will need assistance from a Personal Assistant to change clothes and nappies, administer medications and feeds through a gastrostomy tube, maintain correct body posture, and help with all position transfers. Our daughter is only able to communicate her likes and dislikes through facial gestures; the Personal Assistant must be able to recognize and support her with all her needs.
The Personal Assistant must be able to recognize an epilepsy attack and react accordingly to the epilepsy plan, and be able to administer the rescue medication (e.g. Buccolam) if needed. She will require support with leisure activities like playing with light, sound and sensory toys, reading books, and listening to music.
Supervision: The Personal Assistant will be directed by us (the child's parents).

2. Support to source and access interests and hobbies
3. Support with all position transfers
4. Administer and maintain feeding
5. Support and monitor healthcare needs, including administering medication
6. Support the learning of new skills
Essential Requirements
1. Training
2. Skilled or trained in epilepsy
3. Childcare Qualification
4. Skilled or trained in mental health awareness
5. Skilled or trained in gastrostomy feeding and administering medications
6. An understanding of Natalia's specific health diagnosis
