Your new Company is an Independent Broker who has been established nearly 40 years. The business covers specialist insurance and risk management advice to their business and private customers, providing a tailored, personal approach. They have a great reputation within the industry built on trust and long-standing relationships.
They now have an exciting position within their Commercial Team and are seeking an experienced Commercial Claims Handler to assist with the management of SME Clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Deal with a wide variety of insurance business including Motor (Domestic and Commercial), Motor Fleet, Haulage, Property, Liability, Household & Goods in Transit.
2. Review and record claims on our system within product standards.
3. Check policy coverage and allocate appropriate reserves.
4. Handle all contact from insurers, clients, uninsured loss providers, and third parties.
5. Record claims and forward immediately to insurers or uninsured loss recovery agents.
6. Update records as claim progresses.
7. Oversee claims from first notification to settlement.
8. Advise clients regarding claims procedures and liability.
We are seeking applicants with experience in claims handling within the Commercial sector, ideally with Goods in Transit or Haulage exposure. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance contracts and claims processes, plus the ability to manage their own caseload effectively and efficiently. You will need excellent communication and negotiation skills and have a proactive approach to claims management.
