Overview
The Licensing Manager will report into the Global Licensing Director and is responsible for managing the Beauty, Kids & Adidas Licence operations. This role will oversee and drive these licenses by ensuring an effective balance of commerciality and respect for the Stella McCartney brand values. The Licensing Manager will work collaboratively with the Licensing and Special Projects Communications Manager, Global Marketing, and Design departments internally, and closely with the Licenses to ensure perfect external alignment.
Your Mission:
1. Responsible for developing the collection structure in partnership with both Stella McCartney Beauty, Stella McCartney Kids & adidas x Stella McCartney, and the design team.
2. Follow through the development of the product categories from initial design meetings through to the final launch including all approvals.
3. Regularly prepare relevant market and competitor research, analyze market trends, and advise on product opportunities.
4. Ensure royalties target achievement.
5. Ensure respect of Licenses agreements by partners.
6. Define yearly royalties target and participate in the 3-year plan construction with the Global Licensing Director.
7. Follow up with quarterly results vs budget and monitor growth per market/line, alert on risks and opportunities.
8. Conduct thorough analyses of quarterly Licenses reporting, highlighting opportunities and points of improvement per product, distribution channel, markets, and present to Global Licensing Director and top management.
9. Organize and lead updates with partners on a weekly basis, ensuring Stella McCartney interests during meetings.
10. Support the Licensing Director in maintaining relationships with each partner by preparing decks for reviews and key meetings.
11. Overview of all account approvals for Stella McCartney.
12. Maintain and reinforce the relationship with Stella McCartney buying and retail teams to drive licensing categories including incentive programs and training documents.
13. Work closely with the Gifting department to ensure licensing products are ordered within deadlines represented in seasonal gifting to editors/VIPs, etc.
14. Build relationships with internal stakeholders as well as key external licensing teams.
15. Support the Licensing and Special Projects Communications Manager in defining each License's priorities, strategies, and plans.
16. Administration, filing, booking couriers, and general office duties as required.
17. Closely follow and keep within Licensing budget; namely research, travel, and Design Consultants days worked.
