Do you have excellent Electrical fault finding & diagnostic skills on equipment? Are you looking for your first role in Rolling Stock or already experienced?
We are looking for Rolling Stock Electrical Technicians to join one of our key rail clients based in Liverpool. The individual will be working with state-of-the-art trains and will be an integral part of the team.
This role has a salary of £56,000pa (with shift allowance) rising to £59,600pa (with shift allowance) after completing competencies. The role involves working shifts covering 24/7, including nights.
The ideal individual will have had exposure to the Rolling Stock industry; however, candidates from out of the industry will be considered, such as those from the RAF, REME, Avionics, FMCG, Offshore, etc.
This is an Electrical bias role, and individuals must have high-level fault-finding capabilities.
Your Tasks
* Undertake fault finding and identify the associated repair required.
* Undertake and provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems on the train and its interfaces.
* Provide assistance and technical feedback to the RAMS / Performance Engineer and depot production teams on technical incidents, including Line of Route Technicians as required.
* Perform functional system tests on mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software systems and perform specific measurements as prescribed/required.
Your Profile
Essential:
* Served a recognised apprenticeship to minimum City and Guilds/ BTEC level with Mechanical / Electrical / electronic bias Level 3.
* Extensive professional engineering experience in maintenance.
* Knowledge and experience in modern technical systems and fault-finding techniques and the interaction between these, conducting and leading complex root cause investigations and reading electrical / mechanical schematics competently.
* Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
