We are seeking a Database Analyst to join us on a permanent basis, contributing a large Supply Chain ERP transformation, particularly leveraging Oracle Fusion. This is a SFIA Level x role [add note here]. We need talented individuals to apply their data engineering skills to solving data challenges, supporting a major UK Government programme from locations throughout the UK. THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY As a Database Analyst, you will work closely with data engineers and fellow technical specialists to support the discovery, design, operation, and transformation of database systems to modernise supply chain ERP capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with legacy systems. Your responsibilities will include: • Supporting the build, maintenance and operation of databases systems, ensuring alignment with Supply Chain ERP modernisation objectives. • Debug, resolve and optimise database issues and system failures. • Identifying, collecting and migrating data to and from a range of systems. • Supporting the development of data migration, data processing and data integration processes. • Communicating and engaging effectively with your team, and both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Supporting the adoption of Oracle Fusion ERP, cloud-based solutions, data-driven architectures, and interoperability frameworks. PROFILE Required Skills: • Ability to design, implement, and maintain complex database systems • Proficiency in Oracle solutions, including Oracle Fusion and other Oracle software as a service solutions • Experience of supporting on-premise and cloud database solutions • Knowledge of data modelling techniques and methodologies • Experience in database monitoring and performance optimisation • Experience in evaluating and improving database systems, ensuring data accuracy • Ability to analyse data sets, and derive meaningful insights and reports • Contribute to enhancing data quality, driving efficient data management practices, and supporting informed business decisions. • Experience of working in an agile software development environment • Excellent communication skills Desired Skills: • Experience in the delivery of database migration and modernisation projects • Experience of developing and configuring tools to automate database administration tasks • Experience of working with stakeholders to understand business requirements, and implementing effective database solutions • Azure Certified, or equivalent experience This position is a full time, permanent role and applicants must have (or be able to acquire) BPSS clearance. Ad-hoc travel may be required to various customer and Leidos sites Location: Commutable to Nottingham (Hybrid - On-site average 3 days per week.)
