Gas Engineer
Leeds, Sheffield – covering the north region
£40,007
- £42,112 per year
40 hours per week – Mondy to Friday, 8.00am
- 16.30pm including overtime, with a call out of 1 in 5 weeks
We have an opportunity for a qualified domestic Gas Engineer to join our North Regional Gas team, based in Shiregreen. You will carry out service, repair and installation of domestic gas appliances, heating and hot water systems. The successful candidate will be mainly carrying out landlords gas safety checks, domestic gas boiler repairs and the service and repair of heating and hot water systems in our tenants’ houses and other company owned properties.
You will be provided with a company van and all the power and essential tools needed for the job. You will also be issued with an iPhone and tablet which links to our systems including scheduling and fault reporting.
The role of Gas Engineer will include:
- Service, repair, maintenance and diagnostics of gas boilers, central heating, and unvented hot water systems
- Install gas boilers, cylinders, radiators, and full heating systems
- Utilising analytical and trade skills to diagnose and repair faults
- Completing and submitting gas safety records, identifying, and responding to risks, recording logging and completing work via electronic device tablet or phone
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed from our partner suppliers
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1,CPA1,HTR1, Energy efficiency G3, WBL, or currently undertaking the qualifications. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake these qualifications with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application
- Ideally you will have experience of installing, servicing and repairing boilers
- Renewables qualifications such as heat pumps desirable but not essential
- The ability to work alone on a variety of different boiler types and systems
- Have a proactive approach to health and safety, creating a safe environment for all
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
