Quick Staff UK is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician with a mechanical discipline to join our client's Engineering team on a temporary basis (6m) initially. The ideal candidate will have experience operating workshop equipment, maintaining manufacturing tools and fixtures, and supporting process modifications and tooling changeovers. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate and maintain workshop equipment including lathes, milling machines, and other precision tools.
2. Develop, fabricate, and maintain equipment, jigs, and fixtures in compliance with safety and quality standards.
3. Support process modifications and tooling changeovers to improve efficiency and reliability.
4. Conduct repair and modification work on mechanical components and assemblies.
5. Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematic diagrams to support fabrication and maintenance tasks.
6. Troubleshoot and optimise process systems such as bowl feeding, walking beam, and pick-and-place mechanisms.
7. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements and ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
