The Buildings team comprises Building Surveyors covering geographical areas. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join our West/Central team serving the West and Central belt of Scotland area.
You’ll be working within a team of professional Building Surveyors and report directly to the Buildings and Capital Works Manager. Within the area covered by this post we have offices in Oban, Lochgilphead, Aberfoyle, Glenbranter, West Calder and Clydebank that can be used as a primary office for this role.
As Building Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of professional property services across your areas to support a wide range of built assets, from operational buildings, houses, depots, farms to visitor centres. You will have responsibility, including budgetary, to plan, implement and monitor programmes of work to a high standard ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, Health and Safety legislation and agency standards.
To be successful, you’ll have a degree in Building Surveying or equivalent qualification in the building surveying or construction related discipline, or demonstrable experience of working as a Building Surveyor or other Technical Professional. You’ll require the ability to evaluate Technical specifications, reports and budget figures to undertake construction tasks and implement solutions, to use evidence-based approach to complex problem solving and produce robust whole life costings that inform the development/refurbishment/sale/demolition of a building.
