Job Title: Maths Specialist Teacher

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 (Based on teaching experience)
Role Overview:
Our client in Tees Valley is seeking an experienced Maths Specialist Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive team. We are a part of a group of schools, which operates 13 independent OFSTED-regulated schools nationally, all committed to providing high-quality, purposeful education.
The Tees Valley school supports approximately 30 pupils, offering a nurturing, encouraging, and supportive environment. You will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, fostering a love for mathematics, and supporting their reintegration into mainstream education where applicable.
The school comprises a dedicated team of the Head of School, four teachers, and three support staff. Regional and national staff also provide additional support, enabling a collaborative and well-resourced working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching and Curriculum Delivery: Deliver engaging and creative Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of students in an alternative provision setting.
* Individualized Support: Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that support the individual needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP).
* Pastoral Care: Provide exceptional pastoral support to pupils, encouraging their emotional, social, and academic development.
* Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and structured learning environment, utilizing effective behavior management strategies.
* Progress Monitoring: Track and assess student progress, ensuring that lessons are designed to address gaps in knowledge and support academic growth.
* Engagement and Motivation: Inspire students to develop a passion for learning and build confidence in mathematics.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, support staff, and regional/national teams to share best practices and ensure a consistent approach.
* Safeguarding and Wellbeing: Promote equality, diversity, and British values while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
Essential/Desirable Criteria:
Qualifications: QTS/QTLS is essential.
Experience: Previous experience teaching mathematics, ideally in a secondary school, alternative provision, or similar setting. Experience with SEN/EHCP students is advantageous.
