CNC PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN
Our client, based in Hampshire (GU post code), is an industry leading gear manufacturing company. Their customers are in the Aerospace, Defence & OEM markets. They are looking to employ on a full-time permanent basis an experienced CNC Production Technician.
CNC Production Technician – Offer
* Shift 2
* £17.50hr + 20% shift premium (Shift 2 and the premium will start once training and the full shift of staff are in place)
* Overtime x 1.5
* Hours are Mon-Thurs 14:45 to 00:00, a 37.0-hour week (30 minute break)
* Shift 1 (Initial Training)
* £17.50hr
* Hours are Mon-Thurs 06:30 – 15:15, and 06:00 – 13:00, Friday. A 40 hour week
CNC Production Technician – Responsibilities
* Operate machines; gear cutting, turning, lapping, grinding & de-burring;
* Aid / Change machine setting from one job to another within a set time frame;
* Ability to read and understand drawings;
* Change and adjust machine parameters and tooling as required to meet dimensional and output requirements;
* Able to use micrometres, verniers and other inspection equipment to check work to drawing dimensions and validation sheets;
* Apply appropriate deburring in accordance with the design specifications;
* Setting and running multiple machines when the component and/or batch sizes allow;
* Meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards;
* Work in accordance to the quality system and processes of the company;
* Be punctual at all times;
* Adhere to the company’s health and safety requirements and complete training as required.
CNC Production Technician – Requirements
* Relevant experience in engineering and working in a similar industry.
* Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup and operation
* 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar industry/role.
* The ability to read technical / mechanical drawings.
* Ability to use a range of measuring equipment
* Be able to work effectively individually and as part of a team to meet target deadlines.
