Job Description
CNC Operative \n\nWe are seeking skilled Manual Machinists to join our team, machining centrifugally spun castings for the Aerospace and Power Generation industries. While time-served experience is preferred, it is not essential. You will work with a range of stainless alloys, ensuring high-quality precision machining.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nMachine large castings to specified drawings and tolerances.\nOperate various manual machines, including lathes and vertical borers.\nEnsure production deadlines are met efficiently.\nPerform visual inspections of machined castings.\nProperly mark swarf drums for alloy identification.\nWork independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.\nMaintain safety standards in all activities in line with company procedures.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n\nMinimum 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings to produce precise components.\nProficiency in working to tight tolerances and using measuring equipment accurately.\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.\nSelf-motivated but also an effective team player.\nFlexible approach to work, including overtime and shift work.\nSolid understanding of health & safety, environmental standards, and quality control.
