Responsibilities:
1. Supervise, support, guide, and coach negotiators to meet the portfolio's monthly target on delinquency, flow-through, and impairment reporting.
2. Constantly guide, coach, and supervise the collection negotiators on daily dunning to meet business goals.
3. Assist negotiators in resolving complicated issues.
4. Participate in implementing all cost management activities of the portfolios.
5. Consistently review and improve internal processes to achieve cost savings.
6. Continuously explore alternatives for cost-saving initiatives.
7. Manage and deliver the portfolio's monthly and annual budget on delinquency, declassification, and provision.
8. Ensure timely assignment of monthly planning, collection system allocation, and scheduling of weekend and evening calls.
9. Ensure legal processes are executed in a timely manner.
10. Perform call monitoring and track daily performance.
11. Provide team performance run rate and post-mortem analysis.
12. Support and perform any ad-hoc projects assigned by Unit Manager / Head of Department.
13. Support and perform system enhancement or UAT testing.
14. Review top accounts on a monthly basis.
People Management:
1. Guide and assist team members in resolving complicated issues.
2. Recruit and fill team vacancies.
Regulatory Compliance:
1. Ensure control and compliance is in place, achieving satisfactory ratings on all audits.
2. Ensure team members comply with the bank's internal policies.
3. Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, Bank Negara guidelines, and regulations (e.g., FSA/IFSA 2013, Fair Debt Collection).
Qualifications:
1. Degree holder.
2. 2 years in a Collection / Sales environment, preferably with supervisory experience.
3. Essential technical knowledge to develop/review basic core and relevant Collection and Recovery System for the team.
4. Ability to align Collection and Recovery strategy to asset qualities, cost factors, and regulatory requirements.
5. Strong planning and organizing skills.
6. Good reputation and networking with external customers/internal staff with business objectives in mind.
