Terberg DTS provides a comprehensive offering of new and used Terberg tractors, Aviation GSE and Fire and Rescue vehicle and equipment for both sale and hire. Operating from premises at Halifax, Nottingham and Gloucester, with a network of highly skilled field and workshop based engineers and a substantial parts holding, allows Terberg DTS to support customers with nationwide breakdown cover 24 hours a day / 365 days a year. Job title: Technical Recruiter
Reports to: HR Manager
Purpose of the role:
To proactively manage the recruitment needs for the business specifically to attract and recruit Engineers (mobile and workshop based), within all business units; Distribution Tractors, Fire and Rescue, Defence, GSE etc.
Building a strong employer brand and ensuring we provide a positive candidate experience. Supporting with identifying current and future recruitment needs for the business specifically.
Creating job descriptions, proactively sourcing candidates, managing pipeline of candidates, improving time to hire, managing our inhouse employee referral scheme, assessing candidates suitability for each role, managing employee screening include; right to work checks, employment history/references, criminal record checks etc. through to offer of employment stage.
* Responsibilities
* To proactively manage technical recruitment throughout Terberg DTS and Terberg MPM.
* Devise and support a cohesive recruitment strategy.
* Delivering a first class recruitment service.
* Provide support and advice to managers regarding recruitment and onboarding queries.
* Assist in the completion of Recruitment Authorisation Forms for Exec sign off and approval.
* Collaborating with hiring managers to create accurate job descriptions, and jointly designing the assessment criteria.
* Advertising and Manage job openings internally on Bubble (intranet site), and externally; job boards and company social network sites etc.
* Selecting the best job board memberships and negotiating costs.
* Carry out proactive candidate searches.
* Accurately recording candidate applications per role.
* Collate and distribute shortlisted candidates to recruiting manager.
* Managing and conducting interviews and assessments.
* Liaising with candidates at each step of the process, and answering any queries they may have.
* Carrying out employee screening checks including;
* Right to work checks
* Essential Qualifications / Licences.
* Providing timely feedback to all candidates who have applied, successful and unsuccessful.
* Produce all offer and contractual paperwork for HR Manager / Exec sign off.
* Arrange induction process and liaising with line managers.
* Managing the in house employee referral scheme.
* Manage apprentice recruitment intake, liaising with local schools, colleges.
* Attending careers fairs and be an ambassador for Terberg DTS.
* Managing all candidate data in line with GDPR requirements i.e. retention timeframe.
* Encourage and exhibit behaviours that support our values and that create an environment where mutual trust and respect are encouraged.
* To work with all departments, particularly with projects that are being explored or implemented.
* Undertake any other duties consistent with the purpose of this job or to support the needs of the business.

* A proven record of recruiting Engineers.
* A strong understanding and knowledge of:
* Effective recruitment & selection methods and procedures.
* Sourcing, interviewing and evaluating candidates.
* Employment law/legislation i.e. right to work checks.
* HGV Mechanics.
* MS Office including Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.

Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
