Job Description
Equipped with the latest technology and clinical simulation modalities, the CSC provides a safe environment for staff and students to experience and practice their skills both in the centre itself and in satellite locations. The Centre also hosts a wide variety of postgraduate educational and national events. The CSC is home to our patient partner programme team who train and support around 200 volunteers who attend the facility to help with the clinical skills teaching.
The post will require excellent teamwork, organisational, and interpersonal skills. The successful applicant will develop strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders including the University teaching team, other administrative staff in the Institute, the patient partner team, and colleagues in NHS Grampian.
This is a part-time position. The role is public-facing and office-based; we are looking for someone who can work 21.1 hours a week:
1. 6.5 Hours a week – Wednesday with the Patient Partner Programme team.
2. 14.6 Hours a week over 2 days – with the Post Graduate Courses team; this day can be flexible depending on department activity.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 4 scale, 57.81% of £26,642 - £30,505 per annum, pro rata and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

This post is jointly supported by the University of Aberdeen and NHS Grampian and is funded from NHS Grampian’s ACT moneys. ACT (Additional Cost of Teaching) is funding which NHS Boards receive from the Scottish Government for activities and costs incurred by the NHS in supporting undergraduate medical education, such as the activity relating to this post.
