Our main hospital boasts comprehensive surgical and hospitalization facilities, ensuring that pets receive the best possible care in a comfortable environment. Position: Full-time Veterinary Nurse Shift Schedule: A mix of early and late shifts, including 8am - 4pm, 11am - 8pm, and occasionally 1pm - 9.30pm. Rotational weekend shifts, with one weekend worked every six weeks with a half day before your weekend. Weekend shifts typically involve working from 8.30am - 6pm on Saturday and 9am - 12pm on Sunday. No out-of-hours duties as we utilize Vets Now services. Responsibilities: Assist veterinary surgeons in the provision of high-quality care to patients, including pre-operative preparations, monitoring anesthesia, and post-operative care. Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times. Conduct diagnostic procedures and laboratory tests as directed by veterinary surgeons. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with clients, providing guidance on pet care and treatment plans. Assist with the maintenance of surgical and hospitalization facilities, ensuring cleanliness and functionality. Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient care. Requirements: Qualified and registered veterinary nurse (RVN) with relevant experience in a clinical setting. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and occasional late evenings. Commitment to upholding professional standards and adhering to ethical guidelines. Knowledge of veterinary software systems is advantageous. Benefits: Competitive salary range of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum. Workplace pension scheme.
