ROLE: Shift Manager
HOURS: Monday-Friday 42 hours
SALARY: £47,785.92
BASE: Eurocell Recycling Site, Ilkeston, Derbyshire

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Recycling Shift Manager to oversee the Recycling production, lead and manage Team Leaders along with overseeing the Recycling production performance, based at our Ilkeston Site.
The role predominantly is working Monday - Friday 07:00-16:00, to cover 2 days over 12.00 to 21.00, or as business needs arise, to support with the nightshift handover initially. This role will revert to a continental day shift at some point in the year.
WHAT OUR RECYCLING SHIFT MANAGERS DO:
* Lead and motivate the Recycling team through role modelling the Company Values
* Ensure the team is fully trained and confident in fulfilling their role
* Ensuring Team Leaders are complying with all mandatory training and development for themselves and their operators
* Build, develop, engage and manage efficient and effective teams
* Promote and manage change across the shift teams when required
* Ensure people processes and procedure are completed consistently according to Company policy, including but not limited to Right to Work Checks, Absence Reviews, investigations and disciplinaries.
* Complete PDTRs on time and in full
* Ensure training needs are identified and robust training is delivered or arranged updating the skills matrix weekly
* Ensure that conformance to plan (CTP) and plan achievement (PA) targets are achieved
* Adhere to Recycling budgets and all operational policies, processes and SOP's
* Communicate the achievement and continuous improvement of all business areas against KPI's during the shift, ensuring that all team leaders have clearly defined objectives
* Utilise resource through the labour model and making corrective measures where required adhering to budgetary boundaries
* Investigate all reported SHE incidents and implement relevant containment, corrective and preventative action plans, escalating incidents in line with SHE requirements
* Ensure that first-off samples are produced, checked and signed off according to the quality standard
* Ensure timely and accurate completion of operational checks, reports and accurately maintain production records and documentation
* Have overall control and review of resources, SOPs, equipment, and performance
WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR RECYCLING SHIFT MANAGERS:
* Excellent communication, with the ability to engage Team Leaders and Operatives
* Ability to convey messages and expectations, for example, expected KPIs and behaviours
* Previous experience of managing and developing a team
* Budgetary and resource planning experience
* Ability to deliver business change and continuous process improvements
* Confident to produce accurate KPI updates and reports, analyse non-compliance reports and implement effective measures to prevent future non-compliance
* Robust understanding of health and safety principles and commitment to delivering high standards of health and safety
* Role model who can operate with a safety first mindset
