Are you experienced in contract management? We are seeking a Heating & Hot Water Contract Manager to join our Oldham based team on a full time, permanent basis.
Our Heating and Hot Water Team are responsible for keeping our customers safe and warm. You will be responsible for leading a team and our contractors to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate standards for Domestic Heating and Hot Water systems.
You will be expected to ensure gas compliance is maintained across all of our homes and that the relevant legislation is adhered to.
We operate a hybrid working model which requires employees to work in the office for three days per week with the remaining two being from home.
Key Responsibilities
* Stakeholder engagement: You will have substantial experience in building and maintaining relationships with contractors and stakeholders to continually improve the service, with a focus on Gas Contractors in a domestic setting.
* Compliance: You will be managing contracts that include a requirement to meet statutory compliance; therefore, a good understanding of the relevant statutory and regulatory requirements is a must, including an understanding of data management.
* Leadership: You will be responsible for leading, managing, and motivating a team. You will lead by example and be a forward-thinking leader to ensure the highest levels of compliance, customer service, and value for money are achieved.
* Legislation knowledge: Understanding of the gas safety regulations and how they apply to landlords including their obligations under the HSE.
* Analytical skills: You will be tasked with analysing internal & market data (incl. spend, performance, assets, trends, providers, value drivers, etc.).
* Budget Control: Proven experience of managing budgets to the value of £7m.
* Strategy: As part of this role, you will be expected to participate in the strategic direction of this service area and work towards reducing both carbon emissions and the impacts of climate change.
Role Criteria
Desirable:
* Technical knowledge of heating and hot water systems.
* Professional membership of a body relevant to the contracts being managed.
* A recognised contract management qualification.
* Understanding of the procurement process and Public Contract Regulations.
