Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of a Cancer Waiting Times Manager who is enthusiastic with a high attention to detail, self motivated,forward thinking and wants to embrace change in line with the National Long Term Plan for cancer. You will oversee the Trust's Cancer Patient Tracker Lists (PTL) and the management of pathways to identify bottle necks or barriers to care and ensure robust escalation processes and mitigations are delivered where appropriate. Providing support to the divisional management teams to allow for performance improvement. Responsible for supporting the Cancer Services Manager and Cancer Waiting Times Service Development Manager in delivering department work programmes by monitoring performance and identifying and taking remedial and preventative action as appropriate. Whilst this post will initially be for a fixed term/secondment period of 12 months there is a potential for this to become permanent. Main duties of the job Be responsible for leading and managing the Cancer Waiting Times Practice Manager and the team of Cancer Waiting Times Co-ordinators, Data Clerks and Navigators ensuring day-to-day functions are carried out in an efficient and timely manner Leading on validation of performance and attainment of targets, working with divisional management teams, working collaboratively with managers to deliver high quality services to patients and staff in cancer care across Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be responsible for performance monitoring, accurate data collection and validation of all cancer pathways and submissions to national reporting bodies, such as the Cancer Waiting Times system and Cancer Outcomes Services Dataset, in line with reporting obligations and deadlines.
